How to Reset D-Link Admin Password?


  • Open any web browser or Internet Explorer and enter http://dlinkrouter or http://dlinkrouter.local or http://192.168.0.1.
  • You will be asked to enter the default username and password. Enter Admin as the username and leave the password field blank. Click on Login tab.
  • Once you reach the admin page, go to Setup and click on Manual Wireless Network Setup.
  • Scroll to the Wireless Security Mode and go to Pre-shared Key. You can change the password and click on Save.


In case you have registered with mydlink, then use the mydlink portal at eu.mydlink.com.


  • Enter http://eu.mydlink.com in the address bar.
  • Login to your mydlink account using your username and password.
  • Go to My Devices  Settings.
  • Now, in Basic Settings change the password and scroll down to click on Apply. You will be asked to Save changes and reboot the router. Click Yes and your new password will be applied to your router.
